PERFORMERS 2018

Sarah Stockwell Arthen

Sarah Stockwell-Arthen is a ritualist, musician, green witch, resiliency activist and teacher. She has been creating sacred space, making ritual and offering workshops with EarthSpirit for nearly 30 years, some of them as assistant director of EarthSpirit's ritual performance ensemble, MotherTongue. She has her own highly regarded CD as well, Dark of Moon. Passionate about herbs, traditional pickling, peasant skills and local food, she has been making herbal foods and remedies for over 25 years.  She is focused on perceiving the natural world deeply, and seeks rich lifeways, community and music that are sustainable not as we have been, but as we must be. Lynn & Will Rowan

Folk Duo Lynn and Will Rowan have been teaching and performing together for over ten years. Having traveled all over Europe learning traditional polyphonic music from master singers, a deep love and understanding of harmony infuses everything they do. They teach regularly for Village Harmony and Revels North, and have performed around the world as musical ambassadors for the US with their band Windborne. Lynn and Will are passionate about community music with roots in the ancient past. This comes out not only in their extensive knowledge of traditional music, but also in their original music. Their shows range from Lithuanian hymns to the sun accompanied on bagpipes to mournful tragic ballads to rollicking pub-style songs about the Norse Gods. Terence P. Ward of the Wild Hunt described their voices as blending “like honey and hot tea.” Whether listening to their breathtaking harmonies, or singing along to their crafty arrangements, Lynn and Will’s sheer joy of singing is sure to capture your heart. http://www.lynnandwillrowan.com/

Lynn and Will are also passionate about teaching music, and have taught singing workshops on four continents. Their energetic teaching style focuses on using your natural voice to sing traditional folk songs and polyphonic music from around the world.

Chris & Katie LaFond

With harp, flute, guitar, and voice, Chris & Katie both delight and rouse the spirit with a mix of traditional and modern Celtic and American music that reconnect us both to Celtic heritage and to the Earth. They are currently working on a collection of Celtic Lullabies, which feature in their current set. Garden Concert, Chris’s CD with his Pilgrim Harp Trio, is available today or on cdbaby.com. Chris is also a Master Astrologer of the Society of Astrologers, specializing in traditional, non-modern, methods of delineation and prediction. He offers classes, lectures, and readings. http://lafond.us
